When the church was first built in 1951, mass was held in the basement hall until May 3, 1953 when Archbishop J.H. MacDonald solemnly blessed and dedicated the church. The six parish priests that served Immaculate Heart include:
Fr. Joseph Burke (1951); Fr. Duncan MacDonnell; Fr. Charles Nearing; Fr. William McClellan; Fr. George Neumann; Fr. John Cunningham (2001)
In 2001, it was decided to amalgamate Immaculate Heart of Mary with St. Anthony’s and St. Agnes Parishes.

 Bishop Paul Marwan Tabet‘s visit is on Saturday and Sunday, May 25 - 26 , 2013. In honor of his first visit to our parish and the city of Edmonton you are invited to a formal dinner on Saturday May 25th, 2013 at the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel. The address is 10155 105 St. N.W. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is served at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $ 80 for adults and $ 40 for Children 10 years of age and under. Please note that table and seats reservations are on a first come first served basis.
